Usually, we are rather skeptical when a massage chair claims to have too many features, especially when one comes from a lower price point.
You see, there are actually two approaches that companies usually take:
(i) load their chair with as many features as they can (but not necessarily done well) in the hopes of attracting more customers, or
(ii) pick one or two features and specializes in them, forgetting the rest.
The Real Relax Favor-03 Plus is the former, but with functions implemented well beyond expectation. Here's why:
Full Body Massage
For one, the Favor-03 Plus is equipped with a whopping 50 airbags.
That's almost double the number of airbags found in most massage chairs.
As you can see, these airbags are placed all over the body - shoulders, arms, hips, lower back, calves and feet.
What you get is a true compression at all these parts (the common areas of pain and aches), relieving you from them and improving your blood circulation.
And oh, there is a built-in waist heater to further promote blood circulation at the lower back region.
On top of that, 8 massage rollers are placed at 8 fixed points to the neck and back.
There are 3 levels of speed and strength for you to adjust, and you can customize the back and waist mode by adjusting the rollers up and down using the remote control.
It wouldn't be a full body massage chair if the Favor-03 Plus doesn't have foot massage. After all, this is probably one of the most sought-after feature for many.
What we like about its foot massage function is that it combines both airbag and rollers massage to the feet.
The airbags compress and squeeze the tight calves muscles while rollers tap and roll under the feet to relieve them from any tension or pain. If you have tried a combination as such before, there's no going back.
The footrest is extendable up to 5" so it has a wide height range fitting people from 5.2 to 6.1 foot tall.
Zero Gravity Positioning
Now this is something we'd never expect to find in a massage chair with this price point.
After all, a good zero gravity massage chair can easily cost you a few thousand dollars.
But no, this is not some false advertising gimmick just to pull in the crowd.
You see, there are many massage chairs that claim to be zero gravity just because they are able to recline, but in fact, they are not.

This chair has a total of 3 Zero G positions - Initial, Comfort and Deep - with a reclination of up to 180 degrees.

The new breathing light adds a different ambience to the room and you can now connect your chair to your mobile phone and play your favourite songs as you enjoy a relaxing massage.
Although not really essential, these are no doubt nice extras to have which usually, can only be found in massage chairs in the pricier end of the spectrum.
Also, the chair has now 6 auto modes (an increase from the previous 4) that include: Relax, Sleep, Neck, Stretch, Sport and Waist.
A timer of up to 30 minutes is still available in the updated version.
Conclusion
Comparable to massage chairs in the higher price range, the Real Relax Massage Chair is not without limitation.
For one, it doesn’t have 3D scanning or body stretching. To have them will increase its price no doubt but for what is is, the Real Relax is a great chair with exceeding functionalities. Definitely one of the top best massage chair under $1,000 that we will recommend!
